Art Deco Wedding
A Locally Grown Weddings styled shoot at the Hamilton Ballroom in San Francisco. The style of the flowers and the entire event was inspired by the Hamilton Ballroom's art deco architecture and history. To research I studied images of weddings from the 1930's and 1920's where the bouquets were loose and would cascade to the ground. As this was an inspired event, I didn't want to copy the style completely, so I put my own modern twist on it by keeping the flowers tighter and more monochromatic as well as adding unusual blooms such as irises and green cala lilies. I think the result was well worth it and beautifully complemented the look and style of the event.
