Thanksgiving is a great time of year. It is a celebration of family and friends joining together to give thanks where all you have to worry about is what to eat.
Doing what I do, I like to make it special by setting the table in a way that reflects the season as well as my own personal style. If you feel you don't have the time or money to put into decorating your table, my suggestion is to keep it simple. Get some simple votive candles as they always set the mood and give you a big bang for the investment. Of course I am partial to flowers so even a simple plant or single stem can add a certain elegance to your table. By using something as simple as a fallen branch or leaves from your yard at no added cost or time to you, will definitely make an impact. Believe me, people will notice and love it.
Candlesticks in a terra-cotta pot, simple and effective.
A simple lichen branch for your place settings or use a simple fallen leaf.
Fall foliage makes a statement at this table. Recreate it at home with some branches of your own.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
