I am going to make this a regular feature on my blog since there are so many amazing artists who use flowers as their subject as well as their muse in their work.
The first artists I would like to feature is Gilthero. What better way to describe them but in their own words.
"Glithero are British designer Tim Simpson and Dutch designer Sarah van Gameren, who met and studied at the Royal College of Art. From their studio in London they create product, furniture, and time-based installations that give birth to unique and wonderful products. The work is presented in a broad spectrum of media, but follows a consistent conceptual path; to capture and present the beauty in the moment things are made."
Not only is their work amazing but the way they show it through their photos and videos. Flowers are used as impressions on ceramic creating botanical patterns that are simple and sophisticated. Watch this elegant and amazing video showing the process in making their Blueware Vases.
